Coffee Triangle / Eje Cafetero

One of the most unique regions in Colombia is its one of a kind Eje Cafetero. This region is composed of three departments: Caldas, Risaralda, and Quindío. This land is known for its beautiful scenery, amazing biodiversity, and great ability to produce the best tasting coffee in the world. This is where most of the famous Colombian coffee comes from, and is a very famous tourist destination in Colombia. Coffee is not just a drink in the country, but a cultural and popular icon, and that is why this region is so popular for tourism. If you come here, you will most likely experience the most pure and delicious resource Colombia has to offer. You can stay on one of the multiple farms in the area, either laying around in an hamaca all day drinking delicious coffee or exploring the beautiful land of huge mountains and rolling hills which most identifies the nation. There are many coffee farm tours and horse riding through the Cocora Valley, which contains the tallest palm trees in the world. Other attractions include the National Coffee Park, a thematic park with one of the longest roller coasters in south america, or practice canopy, paragliding, horseback rides, and more adventures. This is truly one of the many regions in Colombia that is truly unique to this country and is one of the most exciting to visit.
